Typically, it’s after an IT firm masters their service delivery that they turn their sites to the Finance department. This seems natural given that typically 75%+ of our staff are in the service department, and only one or two are typically in the finance department. Still, it’s Finance that get’s us paid and sets the tone for service delivery.  We recommend starting with a solid written agreement with your clients, such as F01 – Master Service Agreement, and don’t forget to keep Finance in the loop during your Client Onboarding, see ST01 – Client Welcome Initiative for more on that.
